Fall into the School Year with Music House!
We are so excited to share our 70th year with you! In 1951, Music House was established in West Rogers Park. We provided music instruction to the community, traveled to Chicago schools providing orchestral and band instruction, and sold musical instruments to the community! Now, 70 years later, we are more than just a music school.
We are now Music House, School of Performing Arts! We are passionate about meeting the artistic dreams of all kids- in Chicago and beyond (yes- we still do virtual classes!)
Here are some questions to ask your child to find out which performing arts are the best fit for them:

Audition Now for Nutcracker 2021!
All students who are enrolled in a dance class with Music House will participate in the Nutcracker in December of 2021. If you would like a special role, we encourage you to audition! Scroll down to see rolls that require an audition. All who audition will get a part. We think auditioning is a fun part of the performance process. We create an environment that is encouraging and an experience that you won’t forget.

Register Now for Music Together!
In Music Together, children and their caregivers sing, dance, and explore musical instruments in a 45 minute structured class. Music Together classes aim to foster familial bonding and love, while developing the child’s love and ability to make music. Music Together classes also help children develop in other areas, such as literacy, self-expression, and aural and motor skills. Music Together classes open up the world of music for your child through playful, developmentally appropriate activities. Best of all, kids and adults have lots of fun!

We have options for in person and virtual learning!
From beginner to advanced, we have a place for all students. Our classes are customized to your level of expertise which allows opportunity for individual growth within our program. Dance is essential in developing coordination, refining motor function, and building teamwork skills. We proudly offer pre-ballet/creative movement, ballet, pointe, tap, and hip hop classes!

Register for a Rock Band Class or Private Music, Dance, Acting, or Foreign Language Lesson!
If you're nervous when you're on stage- try a private lesson in any instrument or in a foreign language like Spanish, French, or Mandarin! There's no pressure to perform on stage! Music House offers private piano, violin, cello, viola, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, trumpet, flute, voice, dance, and acting lessons. The one-on-one relationship of our private lessons provides a customized and focused setting for the development of you or your child’s musical talent.

Register for Homeschool Performing Arts Club!
At Homeschool Performing Arts Club, students will be exposed to a variety of musical instruments, visual art forms such as drawing, painting, and sculpture, theater, and dance styles. Every Thursday, students will take part in rock band class where they will explore guitar, ukulele, drums, and keyboard, and decide on the instrument they want to play in the band! Students will also take part in visual art class every Thursday. Every other week, students will switch between dance and theater class. This 3 hour weekly class is fun focused while also building foundational art skills that they can take with them for a lifetime.
