New Music Program Happenings!

Music House is excited to offer several new music ensemble opportunities! Check out our new Music Ensembles Page (found under “Classes”) to read about all our ensemble offerings!

Suzuki Violin Group Classes (both locations!)

We are now offering Suzuki Violin Group Classes at both our Humboldt Park and West Rogers Park Studios! They are:

  1. Suzuki Violin Foundations (Pre-Twinkle & Twinkle) - FREE to Music House Outreach and Private Lesson students; Both Studios

  2. Suzuki Violin Beginning (Lightly Row - Perpetual Motion) - FREE to Music House Outreach and Private Lesson students; Both Studios

  3. Suzuki Violin Book 1 Graduation Track (Allegretto - Gavotte) - Humboldt Park Studio only (please email us if you are a West Rogers Park student interested in this class)

  4. Suzuki Violin Book 2 Graduation Track - Humboldt Park Studio only (please email us if you are a West Rogers Park student interested in this class)

Suzuki Group Classes are a key component of the Suzuki Method! Dr. Suzuki said “A child does not learn the native tongue only by daily one-to-one training but smoothly and rapidly learns it through talking with others” (Where Love Is Deep).

In Suzuki Group Violin Classes, students work on solidifying foundational skills, while also developing new technique and preparing for new pieces!

Ukulele Group Class - Now for all first year students at Humboldt Park Studio!

Music House is excited to offer FREE weekend group ukulele classes that focus on the Suzukulele repertoire and skills for the first year student. All Private Lesson or Outreach first-year ukulele students are invited to join!

Parents are required to attend this class so they can learn how to help their child practice at home!

Orchestra - Now at West Rogers Park Studio!

We are excited to expand our Orchestra to our West Rogers Park Studio, in addition to are already-established Orchestra at Humboldt Park!

The Music House Orchestra Program explores a large variety of repertoire, including Pop, Pop-Classical, selections from the Musical Theater Production for Pit Orchestra, and much more. The main focus of our orchestra program is on creating musical friendships, growing as a musician and sight reader, and participating in community-based performances in the winter and spring.

Auditions are closed for the semester, but please reach out to us directly if you are interested in joining!

Rock Ensemble - Now at West Rogers Park Studio!

Are you a drum, bass, guitar, keys, or voice student? You’re invited to join a Rock Ensemble at our Humboldt Park or (new) West Rogers Park Studios!

Rock Band students learn how to play rock songs as they were meant to be played – with other musicians! They learn how to communicate as a band and work as a team, gain independence on their own part, and develop performance skills.

Piano Ensemble - Now at West Rogers Park Studio!

Piano Ensemble students learn how to play in duets and trios with other piano students, and how to develop independence when playing on their own part. They learn fun pop arrangements, and have extra performance opportunities throughout the year!

If you are interested in joining, please reach out to us directly about setting up an audition.
