What is Open Mic Night?
Open mic night is an opportunity for students to practice performing in a pressure-free environment, meet other students their age, and celebrate creativity! 

What should I play/sing/perform? 

Anything you want to share! Try out a piece you’re preparing for an upcoming spring recital or something you’ve composed/choreographed yourself. If you are singing and require accompaniment, please bring your backing track on a device. 

Who is invited to attend, and do I have to perform? 

Any music, dance, or theater students ages 10-18! Students are welcome to watch or perform, and can bring non-Music House friends! All students attending must register for the event, whether or not they are performing, so we know how many students to expect!

Can parents attend?

We’d like to give students a place to perform and mingle with their peers, so parents are not invited to attend this event, unless it is a necessity for the student.

The Studio Ensemble Winter Spectacular will be performed at Chicago High School for the Arts (ChiArts) at 2714 W Augusta Blvd, Chicago, IL 60622

Enter through the Auditorium entrance which is located on W. Cortez St., 1 block East of N. California Ave.

6:00pm - 8:30pm

The 2024 Winter Dance Recital will be on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at ChiArts High School, 2714 W. Augusta Blvd, with West Rogers Park classes performing at 2:00pm and Humboldt Park classes performing at 5:00pm.

We are charging for this event to cover production, staff, and venue fees.
