Dance Attire
It is important to us that your dancer feels comfortable in their class and is able to move safely. It is also pertinent to the growth of our students' dance technique that our instructors are able to properly see and assess body placement and alignment. These are all important considerations when purchasing dancewear. Please review Music House's flexible dance attire and list of suggested dancewear (with discount!) below. Let us know if you have any specific questions!

Spring Dance Production & Auditions
Announcing! Paddington, a Music House Dance Production! Coming to the stage on June 2 at Chi Arts High School's Auditorium!
All dancers in group classes will be invited to perform alongside their classmates, but lead roles will be by audition only.
Auditions will be held at Humboldt Park on Saturday, January 13 from 2:30pm-3:30pm and at West Rogers Park on Sunday, January 14 from 4:30pm-5:30pm.
The audition fee is $5.
2024 Female-Only Winter Dance Recital
The female-only Winter Dance Recital option will be on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 2:00pm at Congregation K.I.N.S., 2800 W North Shore Ave.
Rehearsal will be the same day starting at 11:00am.
Bring-a-Friend Week 2023
Our Dance teachers are excited for Music House’s upcoming Bring-a-Friend Week, which will run November 5-11, 2023. Students are encouraged to invite a friend to join them in dance class during that week. It will be tons of fun!
Please have your friend register for your dance class as a Trial during Bring-a-Friend Week and enter Promo Code: Bring-a-Friend 2023 and the name of the Music House dance student that referred them in the Comments Section of the Registration Form.
Plus there’s an awesome bonus. New students who enroll during Bring-a-Friend Week will receive dance classes free for the month of December! *
Current students whose friend enrolls will each receive a Music House t-shirt and FOUR free tickets to the Winter Dance Recital.
In addition, Bring-a-Friend Week is a great week to try one of our new dance classes for free.

2024 Winter Dance Recital
The 2024 Winter Dance Recital will be on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at ChiArts High School, 2714 W. Augusta Blvd, with West Rogers Park classes performing at 2:00pm and Humboldt Park classes performing at 5:00pm.
A $60 production fee for the recital will be charged to your account on November 15, 2023. This fee covers production costs including technical staffing, theater rental, props, and a costume of quality dancewear that your dancer can keep and use in class!
If your dancer will not be participating in the 2024 Winter Dance Recital, please inform Music House before November 15, 2023.
Announcing New Dance Classes!
Did you know that Music House now offers Musical Theater Dance classes for youth as well as a drop-in weekly class for adults? Have you been looking for a dance class for a child with Autism or learning and developmental disabilities (LDDs)? Are you curious about an Afrobeats class?
As Music House’s new Manager of Dance Education, I am excited to announce that several new dance classes have been added to the schedule, all designed with our communities in mind. With National Dance Day and the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop, now is a great time to try a new class. Remember that current students receive a 25% discount when you enroll in additional dance classes!
